Who runs Five Mile

Five Mile is run by Aspect 23 Ltd. By using the website or the app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

What Five Mile does

Five Mile shows nearby fuel stations and their reported prices, and gives an estimate of whether a drive to a cheaper station is worth it. It is a free information service.

Prices and savings

Prices come from the fuel retailers and from official government feeds. They can be late, incomplete or wrong, and a station may change its price at any time. Always check the price at the pump before you fill up.

Everything Five Mile shows about cost, savings, detours, journey length and whether a trip is worth making is an estimate. We make no promise or commitment that using Five Mile will save you money, or that any particular saving will be achieved.

The commute feature

The commute feature ranks stations by the estimated extra distance they add to your journey. Distances are approximate, are not the same as a route from a navigation app, and do not take account of traffic, road closures or opening hours. Directions open in Google Maps or Apple Maps, which are separate services with their own terms.

Driving safely

Please do not use Five Mile while driving. Set it up before you set off, or ask a passenger. You are responsible for driving safely and lawfully.

Where the data comes from

Prices in the United Kingdom come from the government's Fuel Finder scheme and contain public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0. French prices come from prix-carburants.gouv.fr and Spanish prices from the Spanish Ministry for the Ecological Transition. Place searches use postcodes.io and other open services. We do not control these sources and are not responsible for their accuracy or availability.

Our responsibility

Five Mile is provided as it is, without any promise that it will always be available or free from errors. We are not liable for any loss caused by relying on the prices, estimates or directions it shows, including a trip that costs more than expected. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law, and nothing affects your statutory rights.

Using the service properly

Please do not misuse Five Mile, for example by sending automated or excessive requests, trying to interfere with it, or copying its data in bulk. The Five Mile name, logo and design belong to Aspect 23 Ltd.

Changes

We may change, suspend or stop Five Mile, or change these terms, at any time. The date at the top shows when they were last updated. Continuing to use Five Mile after a change means you accept the new terms.
